Humble Beginnings, Bold Vision

Maple Beaver is a proudly Canadian brand born in London, Ontario. We are Dam Sweet Canadian™ at heart, with humble beginnings and a bold vision.

Our journey started in the winter of 2024 on a family Caribbean cruise. Amidst a sea of red American caps, our four-year-old son wanted one for himself. We promised him something better, something Canadian. Back home, we designed a cap with the words Always Great. He innocently added, “and also grateful,” inspired by a bedtime story on gratitude. Together, the phrase Always Great, Forever Grateful captured what it means to be Canadian: confident yet humble, proud yet kind.

We made him his cap. He wore it everywhere, and soon friends, neighbours, and even strangers wanted one too. A simple promise became a mission to celebrate Canadian pride.

From a Cap to a Movement

Around the same time, with rising US tariff talk and “51st state” rhetoric, we doubled down on our commitment to Canada. We launched the Greatness Box — a collection of Canadian-made merchandise and symbols of pride. Though our fundraising attempt fell short, it gave birth to something greater: a brand built to honour Canadian excellence, heritage, and craftsmanship.

That brand became Maple Beaver.

Our punny tagline Dam Sweet Canadian™ is more than a clever phrase. It’s who we are: proud of our heritage, rooted in craftsmanship, guided by gratitude, and Canadian to the core.
